About

Hi, I'm Jennifer.

I'm a learning experience designer, and the person behind JRo Learning.

For over 15 years, I've designed learning that turns knowledge into skills people can actually use on the job. I've built everything from new-hire onboarding to leadership programs for people stepping into their first management role, often taking complex or technical content and turning it into something clear, relevant, and practical.

My approach starts with what people actually need to do, then works backward from there. That might mean creating an interactive experience where they can practice a real-world skill, simplifying a complicated process, or making sure they can find the right learning when they need it. I also work with LMS and LXP platforms to make learning easier to find, navigate, and maintain as programs grow.

I've done this across a mix of industries, including software, utilities, wholesale distribution, insurance, and financial services. The industry may change, but the goal stays the same. Create learning that helps people do their jobs better, without adding content just for the sake of it.

When I'm not designing learning, you'll find me with my husband, our two kids, and our mini Bernedoodle. We're usually traveling, cheering from the sidelines at a game or performance, or getting a little too invested in planning the next family celebration.

Let's connect.

I'm always open to new projects and conversations about learning design.
